About Me

I chose English and Communication at Uni back in 2004, so this has always been my thing. Life then took me to international business environments in Shanghai, Berlin and Barcelona (learning Chinese, German and Spanish along the way). This was invaluable experience in seeing how the best – and worst – business leaders communicated, and massive intercultural nuances.

“No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world”
– Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society

I grew up bilingual (English & Welsh) which made me intricately familiar with thinking and speaking in different ways to different audiences. As a child, I also had a stutter which made me super self-conscious of how I spoke – and had to develop tools to overcome fears, express myself, and make sure I was heard.

In my years of working in event management in Zurich, I saw hundreds of speakers as I moderated conferences and events around sustainability. In doing so, I paid close attention to what made a speaker engaging, what made a message land for an audience, and what small tweaks could have someone more effective.

Most recently, I’ve dived further into these aspects studying vocal power at RADA in London (the Royal Academy of Drama), alongside my continued lecturing duties at Fachhochschule Vorarlberg in Austria.

“Communication is humanity’s superpower. Anyone can learn to become a supercommunicator… it’s a handful of skills that our brain has evolved to make into habits.”
– Charles Duhigg

I truly believe that the right word, said in the right way, at the right moment, can change the world for the better – and I’d love to help you do so.

Communication & Language Coach in Vorarlberg (Austria)

I’ve spent the last twenty years in rooms where language was the difference — between a deal made or lost, an idea that landed or didn’t, a person who was heard or wasn’t. What I’ve learned — from Chinese boardrooms, Zurich conference stages, and the lecture halls of FH Vorarlberg — is that the space between what people know and how they come across is the most important of all.
